- DAvoir des libertés seulement si on est né en FranceHaving freedoms only if you were born in France
Explanation
The 1789 Declaration says that liberty consists in being able to do anything that does not harm others. Everyone can think, express themselves and live as they wish, without stopping others from doing the same.
Why the other answers are wrong
- B. Being able to do anything you want, without any limit — Liberty has limits, and only the law can set them. The only limit is not to stop another person from being free too.
- C. Having the obligation to practise a religion — Every person is free to have or not to have a religion. Nobody can be forced to respect the principles of a religion.
- D. Having freedoms only if you were born in France — Liberty is a right for everyone, with no difference based on a person's country of origin.
